A quick input check

Start the microphone, allow access, then speak at your normal volume. Select your intended input from the device list. A moving waveform means this page receives a signal; listen to a recording to judge how your words sound.

Record a neutral phrase and a brief pause. Stop recording or let the 20-second limit finish the clip, then play it through your intended output. Delete removes the clip; Record again replaces it.

What your result means

A response here does not guarantee your meeting app uses the same microphone. Check that app’s input, permission and mute settings too. Playback ends microphone capture so you can listen without an active input session. Start the microphone again before recording another sample. If playback is silent, compare another audio source, then check output selection, volume and tab mute.

Stop microphone ends capture but keeps your completed clip available. Finish an ongoing recording first; stopping capture discards an unfinished clip. Leaving this tool clears the clip. Read the privacy details.
