Headphone & Speaker Test

Play each channel and compare where you hear it.

YOUR OUTPUT

Left. Right. Just right.

Lower your device volume before starting. Each generated tone plays for 3 seconds. No microphone access is needed.

Stopped — no test sound playing

Left should play only on the left; Right only on the right. With speakers, identify the cabinet producing the tone.

A listening check covers the current playback path. It cannot certify hardware quality or diagnose every fault.

Listen to the indicated side

Wear the L earcup on your left and R on your right. Left should play only through the left output; Right through the right. With speakers, identify the cabinet making the sound rather than which ear hears it. Both sends the same tone to both outputs; it is not a stereo-separation test.

Choose your next check

Use the observation menu for a matching troubleshooting step. Change one setting, then replay the same channel. A listening check cannot certify hardware quality or identify every fault. The test uses your system’s selected output; it does not change your device settings.
